My mom's friend gave me mostly all of her horse stuff, from tack to stallgaurds. Tajt is how I ended up with a bridle in great condition, and four bits. Ones a D ring snaffle, ones a smaller snaffle, the third is this other fancy bit that still looks like a bit, but the fourth that was actually on the bridle does not. Could you please help me figure out what this bit is called and used for, if it's even a bit? (© Sagebrush) ![](https://i.ibb.co/LPGRDTj/IMG-20200117-183800.jpg)

An anti lugging bit maybe? Think they use them on racehorses.

Thank you! Her horse is a thoroughbred, and she used to exercise thuroughbreds, so it makes sense.
