Hey y'all I am hoping to attend my first dressage show in October. I'll be doing prep A and C if all goes well or we drastically improve be entries close lol Any tips?

You're going to do great! My only tip is don't stress over the test. Learn it, practice the moves, and do all that, but dont go crazy over it. Just relax, and have fun. :)

Know your test like the back of your hand, so that when you go in the ring you can focus entirely on your horse's performance and not have to be preoccupied with where you're going.

Thank you i thought I'd start learning now even if something comes up and we don't get to go can I wear a normal tie or am I going to have to order a stock?

Men can wear ties or stock ties, women wear stock ties. But if this is a schooling show, you may be able to dress less formally, i.e. beige/other conservative color breeches with a polo shirt or another collared riding shirt, plus a belt. Usually the show registration material will have this information, or ask your trainer if they know the dress code at this show.
