I was just wondering if anyone had a nice ogilvy half pad or half pad and saddle pad, or just any cool sets in general? I would love to see pictures as I find the matching sets so satisfying lol. I would love a customised ogilvy pad of my own but sadly I'm European and Ogilvy don't ship outside of North America (I could get a plain uncustomised pad from a retailer but they're stupid expensive and they don't sell gummy pads). I do have Canadian family though, so I'm hoping I can figure out a way to get my hands on one. *please don't give me advice about my saddle fit. This was more of a forum for people to share any fun match sets they have. Wether that be Ogilvy or not. TIA* Edited at September 26, 2020 02:34 PM by Mediterranean

I would go for Lemieux. The quality is higher and it's less expensive.
I have heard bad things about Ogilvy half pads and the regular pads are very very thin

Wouldn't recommend Ogilvy half pads unless your saddle specifically is fitted to the half pad. They're so thick that if your saddle already fits, the pad will hurt your horse's back. The baby pads are beautiful quality though, absolutely love those.

I've heard bad things too, mostly about it altering saddle fit. As long as your conscious of it and mindful about wether a memory foam pad will suit you or not (any memory foam pad will alter your saddle fit to some degree). I already ride in a memory foam pad and I did my research, and the gummy pad is supposed to be the best for not altering a saddle fit (very similar to the pad I currently ride in). The lemieux pads don't come in brown or beige which is the colours I'm interested in and I personally don't think they look as smart. I have also been looking into a Animo pad, but they're also kind of stupid expensive. I currently ride in an Acavallo memory foam pad, which is nice but just really worn. Yes, I know. I already ride in memory foam, I'm just looking to switch from an Acavallo pad to an Ogilvy pad. Edited at September 26, 2020 02:30 PM by Mediterranean

I have a few friends will the thick Ogilvy half pads and they love them. I tend to steal them a few times a week to use.

I LOVE the baby pads. My horse has higher whithers and they don't slip back, they are also think enough to ride in the heat. I have a plain grey and black pad as well as one with a black base, teal edges, and grey/silver piping which I really like. A few years back I used a half-pad with a grey base, black edges, and teal piping that I liked a lot. I'd be happy to dig up pictures of them, just PM me!
