Anyone else have a hard time finding horseback riding friends?

I have friends who ride, but we sure do have a hard time getting our schedules to match up! Try looking online or facebook for groups near you who trail ride regularly. They usually feel the same way and enjoy meeting new enthusiasts. I started with Florida Cracker Trail Association annual cross-state ride and met quite a few great horsey friends. I also go to state parks with equestrian trails, have met people there looking for riding friends.

I don't really have many, as I'm usually the only student in the lesson barn at any given time, but I do make acquaintances at shows or events.

i have a few closs ones, one lives in arazona now, but when she visits we all go on a trail ride. me and anotherone compete together, so we get lessons at the same time and just hang at the show grounds together. i find texting is the best way even tho we don't see each other at often as we like we still text about our horse lives, like just the other day we where talking about horse Halloween costumes. it also might be easier for me because I live on a farm so we have an arena and trails and stuff, then our retired trainer owns a place with plenty of trails and an arena, so we have places to meet.
