My ISH/SH are just based on how pretty the horse looks, regardless of pattern or colour! Just visual appeal. My WBs are bred for apricot and as many patterns as I can get on them, excluding Sabino and frame

I breed both for specific patterns and genes while trying to improve my ratings as well. In AAs I have a thriving silver champagne line going (also think I have the most frames there among my breeds), in TBs of course Tobi and dun and in SH/PON I'm trying to cram as much colour in as possible with the addition of appy (drowning in splash there). I also keep apricot programs in all my breeds - so far the most successful there are my brave TBs it seems.

I breed for ratings with specific genes, like prl, Z, Ch, eprls, etc :D Spl, Tobi and Frame are always amazing if i can get them as well :D

I enjoy breeding TBs that have Silver, Champagne, Creme, and Dun genes.

I breed for both color rarity, and specific pattern. It really depends on which breed I am working with. My TB horses mostly have basic colors, and are higher rated, my QA horses are where most of my color projects are, and only a handful are highly rated. I used to souly breed for spash white and frame, but I have been trying to expand my color variations more. Cadence Farms said: This week we'd love to hear from the color breeders! For my pasture herds I select on number of patterns (culling roans) and how many of them are homozygous and try to keep a variety of base colors ie bay, pearl, dun, smokey, grullo etc. The ratings ones are more anything goes, minus roan if I can at all avoid it x)

Mostly visual appeal But also trying to preserve 'extinct' colors such as dun and Tobiano in TBs
