It sounds like futurities but more expensive 'you have a 1% chance of getting something, but to 99% you will just lose money and time'. No thanks I'll stick to my 1500 shows a week. At least that's money I know I'll get

I don't reassign them usually until RO if they are still placing in a discipline or have a lot of points (8+)

You just have to remember to click that when you're having her reassign horses.

there's an option for the BM to skip fed horses

But what can I do if the horse levels up and my BM reassigns it? That's not my fault. Yeah, that all doesn't sound like whatever money I might get is worth the stress.

Also, if you change riders in the middle of the month you start over earning points

not the previous months, but the points you earned that current month sheeesh can't type straight lol

You will lose the previous months points if you do change the riders
PK Rescue Stable

and yes if you change riders you must reenter.
PK Rescue Stable

You have to enter them. 3 shows a week in thier discipline(s), then again on tues nights if they qualify
Santana Rising

And do you then need to enter them into Fed shows or does that happen automatically? The 'you need to re-enter again after you switch riders' sounds like a major nuisance, since I replace riders fairly often.

That was my next question since I don't do SD, if it's suitable for AD horses too and at what level you start them

I sign up most of mine EEE & above, and my SD's E & above once they hit 6 weeks training

I'm thinking of becoming 'show only' for a little bit, so I'd like to really develop my showing program... Just not sure what to do with my mares...

Here's the options I can think of:
Brood them out-
Put them on cycle suppressant to show them-

Any suggestions or opinions?

Well, you could sell/ FR your not as good producing mares and replace them with geldings?

Definitely brood out your mares. That can help you get a lot of ebs, especially if they are better quality!

Yep, good point :D And I suppose they'll still show decently even though not on cycle suppressant :P

All horses can be good show horses, even mares and stallions. I'd brood out the EE+ Girls, sell the not so good producing horses, an then show everybody that left, stallions, mares and Gelds :D

you dont need to put the mares on CS - just go and show them!
They can earn as much as a gelding or stallion in their lifetime.

You can search sales for cheap horses/mares with level 3+ and a Superb rating or higher. They dont have to be Elite to earn money. Often the E and P rated horses level up too fast, so they dont stay in the winning money for a long time.

Ok thanks guys! And I'm currently showing everything, just didn't know if CS would make a huge difference in showing income vs. brooding them out :P
