Name: Florida Ryes Gender: Female Age: 16 Appearance: Florida has pale skin and stick-straight brown hair that falls just past her shoulder blades. Her pale green eyes are about the color of a sea green and show off her long natural lashes. There is a curved line of freckles across the bridge of her nose and her upper cheeks. She is 5’4 and she only weighs 105 pounds. She is very thin but it’s not the unhealthy kind of small. Her small waist gives her an hourglass shape. She usually is found wearing a sweatshirt and jeans in the winter or a crop top and shorts in the summer. She has a sweet voice that isn't high pitched or super low. Her singing voice is calming but still gives her an air of superiority over other singers. Personality: Florida is very outgoing and has never been given the title “shy”. She is extremely talkative which makes her one of the best gossipers. She knows everyone around her and everyone knows her. She has been known to be very nice but she does have a mean streak occasionally. Florida has some small family problems that escalate quickly during hard times and make her lash out at the people around her. Her friends know when she has problems and tend to leave her side when she’s hurting. They only stick around for popularity. Other: Florida lives in a two story house with her mom and stepdad. Her father and mother divorced when Flo was 10 and had severe family issues since then. Her father had married another woman three months after they had divorced and her mother, Alaska, had gotten married to Hunter, Flo’s stepdad, four years after the break apart. --- Can you go first? (I'm thinking they can study together to meet?) Caleb walked slower than usual to his final dull class, Literature. He truly hated the necessity of doing the class for his credits. He dabbed up one of his buddies while passing in the hall. He smirked and kept walking to one of the final classrooms of the corridor. He walked inside, the final one to sit down, and the teacher called for the class's attention. "Finals are next month, and I want you all studying like never before." Mr. Tealman, the english teacher, announced while turning to the whiteboard. "You may study in pairs or groups of three, but no larger for the sake of our poor librarians. Get out your copy of Romeo and Juliet and flip to page 103. Read until the final scene silently and fill out the questions sheet I am passing out." He wrote the instructions on the board before handing a stack of papers to the beginning of each row and retreating to his desk. Caleb groaned quietly, reciving his copy of the sheet and passing the rest of the stack behind him. He quickly finished the reading, really just skimming over it. He glanced to the side, making brief eye contact before blushing gently and turning back to his paper. He passed his sheet forward as the bell rang. He stood up and put his backpack on

Florida practically skipped to her English class. She had always loved English and it was sorta obvious by the way she smiled as she walked toward the class. She sat down in the desk closest to the window. She stared out the window before class began then paid attention to Mr. Tealman as he spoke. Her smile was wide as she took the paper. She had already read the entire book… twice, so she knew the answers to his questions already, but she decided to read the last bit again anyway. As she was about to write an answer down, her pencil fell and the led broke. She looked across the room to scout out the pencil sharpener when she caught a glimpse of a guy who quickly looked away. She blushed then got up, sharpened her pencil, then sat back down. Florida quickly wrote the answers down, then leaned forward so she could turn the paper in to the person in front of her. She sighed when the bell rang, clutching her personal book to her chest. Groups? That means I can’t work alone? Great… She looked down at her feet. As she was walking, slinging her backpack over her shoulder, she ran straight into someone’s back. “Oh sorry!” She said, bending down to grab the book she had accidentally dropped

Caleb noticed the girl as she dropped her book. He stopped, waiting as the rest of the class filed out and refusing to leave someone alone with their embarrassment. When she stood, he smiled gently at her. She was pretty, but no doubt dating someone already. He waited as she walked past him and followed her out. He walked to his car before getting in and starting it with a smirk on his face. He peeled out of the parking lot and drove to his house, still thinking about the girl. "Mom? Rose?" He called, walking into his house. "What do you want?" Rose said, looking up from her phone and glaring at him. Caleb rolled his eyes at his sister who was no doubt texting her boyfriend. He changed into sweats and a t-shirt before flopping on his bed. He wasn't hungry lately, a blessing in his eyes as he didn't have to stand his sister for long periods of time. He grabbed his phone and checked for any texts before turning it off and falling asleep

Florida blushed with embarrassment, pulling her book to her chest again. She offered the guy a slight smile before walking away. She put her extra books in her locker then made her way to her car. She put her kep in, thankful the old rusty excuse for a car was running again. She drove home, parking and walking inside. Immediately, like clockwork, her mother grabbed her, pulling her close. “Mom” Florida groaned. “Every day?” She grumbled. “Every day” Her mother said with a smile. “Hunter gave me flowers today” She grinned and Flo rolled her eyes. “Anything new?” She smiled, pulling out of her mothers embrace. “I need to go upstairs and study. Thanks Mom” She hurried upstairs, dropping her bags to the floor in her room and opening her balcony door. Flo took a deep breath of the cool air before she sat on the edge, her legs squeezed between the bars holding the railing up, her feet dangling over the side. She read her book for a while before her stomach started growling. She went downstairs, had a wonderful dinner with her step father, then came back upstairs to actually study. After about twenty minutes, she passed out, her face flat on the textbook on her desk

Caleb's alarm went off and he got up after smacking it off his bedside table and groaning. "Great. Another day of school." He grumbled, getting dressed. He glared at his sister as he grabbed his backpack and keys before getting into his car and driving to school. He was the girl again and smiled gently at her before going to his first class. The day passed slowly and Caleb found himself looking forward to english for the first time, excited to see who he would be assigned to as a partner. He sat down in his usual seat before getting out his book and bouncing his leg in anticipation. "Alright, folks, i'm passing around sticky-notes and a bowl. Please write your name on the note and place it in the bowl for choosing." Mr. Tealman instructed, handing the bowl to a junior in the front row. The bowl gradually made it's way around the room before returning to Mr. Tealman. He mixed the names before pulling a note. "Kate Grey. You're paired with..." He reached his hand into the bowl once more. "Dawson Tamton. Begin studying after school." Mr. Tealman repeated the proces until he pulled Caleb's name. "Caleb Hunt. You're with....." He reached for the final slip. "Florida Ryes. Same as everyone else, begin studying immedietly after school." He passed back the worksheets they had done the day prior and Caleb had a perfect score. He sighed in relief, standing as the bell rang and walking to Florida. "Hey. Florida, right?" He asked, making sure Edited at December 22, 2024 07:48 PM by Blue Diamond
