You may get a 12 hour extension if you PM me 3. There's a limit of 2 characters per person. Don't feel like you have to play more than one if you don't want to though 4. I'm expecting anywhere between 300-500 words at first and slowly working up to longer posts as we go. 5. I expect active players and posts. Twice a week, less if you need breaks or for reasons like writers block. 6. This is LGBTQ+ friendly and I'll throw hands with anyone who doesn't like that ♥︎ 7. NPCs will be played by you if they're close enough. However if we need an NPC that's far off, I'll play it until it can get close enough to you or I'll do something close to that. 8. Don't be petty. If you get declined you clearly didn't do something right. I'd be happy to give you tips but don't be petty about it. 9. Hate the character not the player. You can have drama inside the RP with characters but if you bring it into the discussion as people, you'll be kicked out. 10. Please PM me once a character is done. I also require you to mark it as a WIP but some people leave the mark up so I can't tell easily, please just PM me once it's done ^^" 11. Keep yourself updated on the rules! You're also required to chat with us in the discussion because I'll mark you as gone if you don't 12. Please include the word "Bandit" if you've made it this far and read the rules, thank you!

Plot A herd of wild horses has been roaming the plains of Niameda for many days, seemingly abandoned and uncared for. With no owners in sight, it falls upon a group of outlaws to step up and claim these magnificent creatures. The outlaws, led by the determined and charismatic Dahlia Lawson, decide to take in the horses, training and raising them as loyal companions. These horses will join them on daring escapades and become an integral part of their journey. While tending to their newfound companions, the outlaws must continue their usual exploits, which include robbing banks, hijacking trains, and outsmarting the law. However, despite their unlawful activities, they adhere to a strict moral code that distinguishes them from the truly evil forces in their world. Their actions are driven by a sense of justice and loyalty, as they navigate the treacherous landscape of the Wild West, always staying true to their unique principles.

Extra Details Outlaws - The outlaws come from diverse backgrounds, each with their own unique history. What unites them is the presence of both good and bad sides to their nature. Under the leadership of Dahlia, these outlaws adhere to a distinct moral code that sets them apart from other groups. Their actions, though sometimes criminal, are driven by noble intentions. They might engage in theft or robbery, but their motives are often to feed themselves or support their families. For instance, Dahlia once stole horses from a wealthy man who was mistreating them, ensuring the animals found better care. Set between 1865 and 1895, the era of cowboys, this story aims to remain realistic while allowing some historical liberties, such as more inclusive LGBTQ representation. Horses - The horses start out as untamed and spirited creatures. They may be genuinely wild, having roamed free without human contact, or they could be former domesticated horses that escaped from neglectful or abusive owners, seeking freedom and a better life. Among the breeds commonly ridden by cowboys are the American Quarter Horse, known for its speed and versatility; the Morgan Horse, prized for its strength and endurance; the Mustang, symbolizing the wild spirit of the West; the American Paint Horse, recognized for its distinctive markings and agility; and the Florida Cracker Horse, valued for its resilience and adaptability. While these breeds are quintessential to cowboy culture, you can also explore other unique breeds that have historical connections to cowboys and the era in which they lived. Ensure these breeds were indeed used by cowboys or in similar contexts to maintain authenticity and enrich the narrative with a diverse range of horses. Niameda - Niameda is a sprawling and bustling "city," known for its opulence and the significant number of wealthy individuals who reside there. This concentration of affluence has inevitably attracted a multitude of outlaws, each drawn by the promise of lucrative plunder. The outlaws in Niameda are notorious for their fierce rivalries, frequently clashing with one another over valuable loot and engaging in relentless battles, leading to a pervasive atmosphere of conflict and instability. Peace in Niameda is a rare commodity, as the city's streets are often the stage for violent confrontations. Despite the presence of a robust law enforcement system, the authorities are not immune to the city's corrupting influence. Bribery is common, and many officials can be easily swayed by the lure of wealth, further complicating the efforts to maintain order. To aid in navigating and understanding the complex layout of Niameda, a detailed map will be created and shared during the discussion. This map will help illustrate the city's key locations, hotspots for conflict, and areas of interest, providing a comprehensive guide to the intricate and often perilous landscape of Niameda. Time Period - Between 1865 and 1895, the American frontier was characterized by a rugged and lawless landscape where outlaws and cowboys played central roles. This era, often romanticized as the Wild West, was shaped by the aftermath of the Civil War, the expansion of railroads, and the lure of uncharted territories. Outlaws, often driven by a desire for independence or economic necessity, roamed the frontier, engaging in cattle rustling, bank robberies, and other illicit activities. They operated outside the bounds of the law, evading capture and becoming folk heroes in popular culture. Cowboys, on the other hand, were integral to the booming cattle industry. They were skilled horsemen and ranch hands who herded cattle over long distances, enduring harsh weather and unpredictable terrain. Their lives were governed by a strict code of honor and camaraderie, exemplified by the tradition of the cowboy's "code of the West." Languages spoken varied, with English being predominant, while familiarity with Spanish was beneficial in regions influenced by Mexican culture. Manners among cowboys emphasized respect for one another and a strong work ethic, reflecting the harsh realities of frontier life. Fashion among cowboys was practical, consisting of wide-brimmed hats, durable denim or canvas clothing, and sturdy boots suitable for riding and working outdoors. Firearms were common tools of the trade, essential for self-defense and managing cattle. Technological advancements, such as the Winchester rifle and Colt revolver, revolutionized cowboy life, offering both protection and efficiency in their daily tasks. The expansion of railroads facilitated the growth of cattle drives and the transportation of goods across the frontier. Socially, cowboys represented a diverse mix of cultures and backgrounds, including Native American, Mexican, African American, and European immigrants, contributing to the rich tapestry of frontier society. Extras - Any and all other questions you may have can be answered in the discussion thread or you can PM me! ^^

Sign Up Form - Horses WIP Name Haplinka Name Pronounciation* Hap-lin-ca Breed American Paint Horse Age 6 Gender Mare Appearance Haplinka is a 15 hand Amber Crème splash white, the beginning of her marking starting at her cheek bone and running down to her hind. The white covers the lower half of her body. Her face marking js a the bald face, making her eyes a pale and crystal colored blue. Her forelock is white but her mane matches her body color. The lower half of her tail is white while the top half matches her mane. Temperament Haplinka is a sweet natured horse and rarely attacks others. She can be restless, stubborn, hyper, and calm, given the right circumstances. She doesn't spook easily, making her a prime target to anyone who wants a calm horse. Haplinka can be extremely affectionate once she opens up to others. Because she has been wild her entire life, she is comstantly on alert and quick to warn the herd of danger. Strengths Haplinka is fast and extremely agile, making her a great cutting prospect. She can move on her hindlegs, launch into a gallop, and slide to a stop on a dime. Weaknesses Her stubbornness is her main weakness. She is not competitive, so she does not do well in races despite her speed. The only things she is afraid of is humans, predators, and anything red. Training/Skill Level a beginner would definitely not be able to ride her unless she had some serious training, but an expert would not be needed, so on a scale from 1-10 she is a 5. Kin* Unknown. Affiliations She has a friend named Daisy, but she usually escapes with the other mares, leaving Haplinka alone. Her other friend, Silver, hangs out with Baplinka a lot but she is very shy and doesn't open up much to anyone, including Haplinka. Other Backstory: Haplinka was born in huge rolling fields where she roamed for months. A fire broke out during a drought and forced the herd to migrate. Both of her parents whose names she cannot remember were killed in the fire along with half of the existing hers because they didn't make it out fast enough. Haplinka was separated from her herd for two weeks, during which she fought for her life, then was reunited with her herd to the realization that her family was gone. The group moved west to a new field. There her herd was attacked and she and two other mares were taken to a new herd by a bachelor stallion when she was two years old. She had been with her current herd for four years. (were allowed to post her correct? And does this all look good for now? I'm still working in the affiliations part. Gotta figure that out lol) Edited at June 6, 2024 02:18 AM by Dandelion Farms

Sign Up Form - Outlaws Name James Wesley Winslow (JW, Wes, Wesley, Jamie) Name Pronounciation "jay-dubbuh-u" "wehs" "wez-leigh" "jay-me" Age 19 Gender Male Sexuality* Heterosexual Pronouns He/Him Appearance (Minimum 6 sentences) Standing at 5 foot 11, Jaime is not one to stand out in a crowd. As is common in a mining town, his complexion is sallow and generally unhealthy in appearance. A layer of dust to encase him all times, be that coal or dirt. Despite his lithe build, he is all hard muscle; a creature build for endurance rather than fist fights. Due to a lack of diverse diet growing up he has a slight bow in his legs, hardly noticeable in a mining town, but there nonetheless. His sandy brown hair varies in length but is commonly kept cropped at the ears and worn without styling. It's texture is naturally wavy. His eyes are dark blue and deeply melancholy in natural expression. He keeps a clean shaven face; he isn't genetically predisposed to grow much of a beard anyways. If he dons facial hair it is typically a slight mustache. (AI art created by me) Personality (Minimum 5 sentences) I prefer to develop personality within the role to meld with the other characters but this is what I can say. Jaime maintains a stern exterior and takes most things seriously despite being a dreamer at heart. He has known nothing but hardship and is skeptical of kindness. He most often keeps to himself because leaving school at such a young age prevented him from sharing a kinship with most of the other children in his town. He has had few friends over the years but those who have known him would describe him as brilliant and kind, a natural born leader even if he does not see himself as one. Strengths (Minimum 4) ~ Jaime is quite intellegent despite his lack of education. He spends most of his free time reading which has fostered in him lofty dreams and ambitions. ~ Jaime is a particularly good cardplayer and will often be found at the Faro table emptying the wallets of the carpetbaggers and railroad tycoons whom he so despises. ~ Jaime is a hand with a gun and can shoot straight and accurately at deadly speed. A few more years and he could be quite the accomplished gunslinger. This is likely the only reason he always walks away yet alive from the Faro table. ~ Jaime is strong despite his build. Years spent in the mines strengthed his lithe body to be able to lift more than he weighs. His hands are especially cable and deft as a result. ~ The 10 years he spent working in the mines also contribute to his excellent vision at night, however, the harsh sunlight can be taxing on his eyes during the day. Weaknesses (Minimum 4) ~ Jaime has no family or home to return to so he must stay the course alone. This can prove a weakness due to his lack of a support system. He is completely on his own. ~ Jaime has an addiction to alcohol although the nobler side of him is often at war with this vice. For this reason he can be unpredictable, going on a bender one week and then through withdrawals the next. ~ Jaime has a slight gambling problem that has only just started. He recently discovered a talent for Faro and as a result has noticed an upcropping of skirmishes in which he finds himself involved. ~ Jaime has a lack of a formal education since he went to work in the mines at the age of ten. He is not particularly good at mathematics or science. Oddly enough he is an avid reader despite his lack of education (all thanks to his mother's tutoring). ~ Jaime tends to be rash and easily angered. He must keep his temper in check or it can lead him into dangerous situations. ~ Jaime is not particularly large. He finds himself often quite a bit smaller than most men his age. He is not underdeveloped or unfit, just malnourished which has lent him a more lithe figure. ~ Although a lover of horses, his skills leave much to be desired. He grew up in a mining town and had little to no need for a horse. Due to this deaths of his parents at a young age he could never afford to buy himself a horse so his equestrian experience is slight. However, he has read quite a bit about horses and studied the beasts for hours on end. With practice he could potentially become quite the horseman. ~ Although the mines have lended him unique strengths, a racking cough has followed him ever since he left the Anaconda. The coal dust perhaps, makes its home in his lungs. At times his coughing fits can become dehabilitating. Likes* Jaime likes dime store novels, coyotes, and horses. He prioritizes the values of justice and honesty. Dislikes* Jaime strongly dislikes monopolistic type tycoons, carpetbaggers, fools, bloodthirsty gunslingers, alcohol, and snakes. Kin* Affiliations Anaconda Gold and Silver Mining Company (former employment) Other ♱ Bandit Character Sheet with Backstory Edited at July 8, 2024 01:08 PM by Kuewi knn stable
