I feel bad for our neighbors. Double lung transplant. Now he needs new kidneys because the a anti-rejection meds he was on trashed his. So he's back on the transplant list 😞
Hummer, I've got three cockatiels, all three are rescues. Several hand-raised budgies, and a hand-raised conure. The budgies are the ones who make mad dashes across the counter after the ping-pong balls lol
Though. It has been fun seeing family heirlooms, and teaching them how to play with and feed my birds since I'm busy packing. They've loved taking them to explore around the house, and watching them chase ping-pong balls across the counter
But that means I've been helping her pack, too, so I'm sore all over and just wanting to nap on most days. LOL. Getting time for things like my art is going to be a task for the next couple of weeks. I hope people will understand
Heck, the C word in general is scary. Cancer is scary. My mother is recovering from breast cancer (it's clear, just a surgery) so we've had a rough year and a half. Running away to our house on the lake sounds massively enticing lol
The doctor said if he had to choose a cancer, he'd go with prostate, and I think that was comforting to my father, knowing how good the outlook usually is. But of course, the percentage chance of it not working, no matter how slight, can still be very daunting and scary
