| I think vets recommend those foods because their clinics get prescription foods and stuff from them. They never struck me as being high quality foods |

| I think it depends on the animal for the most part. I had a dog on Hill's, and he didn't do well on it. Same with my cat, horse, and chickens on Purina. My stepdad's pitbull lived 18 years on Purina though🤷♀️ |

| bird I honestly can't remember, but it was something my vet said to look out for, but mainly find foods with real meat as the first ingredient(s)😅 |

| hm, I don't like how corn and/or animal by-product meal are the first ingredients in most of Royal Canin's cat foods, but in my experience Purina's not much better >.< |
