I'm looking for some advice from someone who experiences migraines as well. I've had them happen for a few hours at most here and there. But this last one I had lasted 12 hours. I was wondering if anyone had any tips that may help the next time I have one. I can't tell if it was triggered by allergies or not as well. Any advice would be appreicated, and if it feels more comfortable, my DMs are open.

I have chronic, persistent migraines. I'm on specialized medication from my neurologist but for a basic migraine triggered by allergies etc take excedrin and keep your salt intake up. Ice caps are also a game changer.

So sorry. I have a condition called CVID and the treatment that combats this sadly creates migraines. For me i find they can sometimes stay for as long as a week (my longest migraine is 5 days). I find they often start as headaches from dehydration and are often due to physical activity such as the many sports i play. Some things i find help are drinking a full powerade or gatorade as soon as i get a headache. Otherwise neurofen and panadol (which regrettably dont do much). Lately i have started this migraine wafer which is awesome. I dont know the name sorry but there are many brands which are all great. Another thing is just to lie down in a dark room with a icepack or wheatpack (i love wheatbacks so good i find) on my head or neck. Otherwise sleep is the real healer. Hope this helps
