Coyote opened her eyes and gasped as she saw Mystery jump over her. She thought for sure she was going to end up unalived by the galloping horse. She looked up at Mystery and the shock and anguish on her face. "Im not sure what happened but whatever it was I came looking too late" she spoke shamefully as she looked at the ground. She then stood up "I-I smelled Lynx when I was galloping over here searching, I think that's what killed her." she hesitantly spoke to the now weeping mare. "And it doesn't appear that she was actually fighting them" she closed her eyes and sighed. "Im so so so sorry for letting you and everybody and her down" she whispered as she watched the stud walk towards Mystery and the corpse. "Ive caused enough problems and you trusted me with the herd and I couldn't even do that correctly." she began walking off towards where she had left the herd leaving the two horses in peace. |
