irl i'm at uni since 3 weeks and i haven't made any contact with anyone because there is stuff going on in my life that put me in a bad state but also have the reason is i don't want other person in my life i'm good with the ones i have because i realized who are my real friends as of today and i'm satisfied with it.
oh i see dark yeah the worst that can happen is the combo of waiting hours for a reply for a ok or another short answer i got a lot of that recently....
I love talking to the small group of friends I have, I get close to people fast, but also realize when it's time to leave because of toxic talk or environment around them. It used to be harder than it is now. I can emotionally distance myself, but still be friendly.
I don't mean fast as in time (although having notifications on does add pressure to do that), I'm moreso referring to literal short answers that have few words and are focused on immediately getting a point across without any detail
Dark, fast answer are just not always bad to be honest, personnally i hate making people wait, unfortunately i end up by being always the person who waits hours i don't mind when it's someone i don't really talk to but when it starts to be someone really close or you have a lot affection for it's a bit meh :/
Especially when people who grew up on sites with an algorithm try to navigate around sites that don't. I read a lot on AO3 and I've noticed a huge influx of younger folks breaking the ToS because they're so used to the Wattpad algorithm that they don't understand a site where they have to curate their own content until they get warned/suspended for it
