Oh yeah I am so against it. I had an older lady that I took in from a kill shelter here who was declawed. She hated using the litter box and had such bad arthritis from it. Poor little girl.
Trigger I am strongly against declawing cats. Sure it might make our lives nicer with less scratches but it causes so many extra problems for them ecscially as they get older
Both of my childhood cats were declawed. But this was before it was common knowledge that is was bad for them. Thank God they never seemed to have issues. And so glad we know better now.
I have scratchers all over the place here. I put catnip spray on them and I switch them out each week so they are always new haha. I do not have an issue with cats scratching furniture or anything really.
It would be like us walking around and bearing all our weight on our knuckles our whole lives. As someone whose worked in rescue for felines for years, I have seen what it does to a majority of cats.
I trim cats nails. Declawing is extremely painful for the cat, even after surgery. Can cause early arthritis as well. I will not do it, and when I used to adopt cats out I made them sign a no declaw agreement.
If you have Dapple Blend Grain, you can feed it to your horse and their coat will dapple.
The effect will wear off after a few days. One pound of grain will be fed at a time.
