I had a bad habit of taking random breaks from HEE for weeks at a time and then returning to an empty rider's lounge. So, I've never had a rider retire before. I'm trying to break that bad habit.
I personally prefer younger riders, but that's just so they don't retire before they hit level 10. As long as your rider isn't 40+ when you hire them, it shouldn't matter.
If you have Dapple Blend Grain, you can feed it to your horse and their coat will dapple.
The effect will wear off after a few days. One pound of grain will be fed at a time.
If you feed Senior Blend to your senior horse they will have a 10% decreased chance in dying
when the weekly script runs on Monday morning. The effect lasts for one weekly cycle.

You can hire a rider. They will be automatically assigned to your horse. Be sure to visit the Rider's Lounge and pay them.
Set Breeding Requirements for your horse. Enter the minimum rating allowable for breeding. When breeding, Any combo of the entered values and higher will be accepted. Leave blank to set to None.
Edit your horse's remarks. Keep all content PG-13.
Choose a Background for your horse.
Withdraw your horse from it's team. You will lose all team points for this horse. Please discuss this action with the team manager first.
Your horse may show 3 times per week. Shows run daily. Your horse and rider will gain valuable experience from showing. Select a discipline to show in, or scratch from tonight's show.

If you would like to put your horse on the market for breeding, click below. Note that when your horse is up for breeding, anyone may breed to them. Also note that you don't need to enter a price when marking a stallion available for straws.

Join A Federation. Your horse will accrue Federation Points
and based on that may make the Federation Championships.
