thanks Gypsy.. I am looking for value as a prize. That is helpful!

@Solar, I usually try to walk him in the morning and then in the evening we go to a soccer field and play fetch.

I know rehoming him would break his heart, but $500/month for one dog is A LOT of money and both me and my Mom are so easily upset by his shenanigans.

Given the mix that he is, this feels like a long shot, but have you been able to reach out to your breeder for advice?

that playtime was on top of two walks a day. just walks aren't enough for high-energy breeds (believe me, we had/have Dalmatians)

training is good, but keeping up with it at home is the biggest thing. burning off energy with physical and mental activities is important

If you mean the TB Jareth, I'd say someone would pay for his straws. Maybe not premium, but he has some great older lines and goes all the way back to The Wishbringer, which is fun. He produced reasonably consistently, too. Try selling and then work your way down to a price where people buy?

He turns 3 next month

How old is he?
Revel Ranch
09:54:20 Hummer
@Solar, yup. We try to go twice a day, but it's not enough.

@Dimmed, it is supposed to be the family dog. It is only me and my Mom so if one is busy the responsibility falls to the other.

We tried crate training and it was HORRIBLE! He never stopped whining even after weeks.

do you have a place you could do playtime with him? we'd run our dogs in our backyard with toys to help them burn off extra energy, and use that time to do some brain work and training, too

Why doesn't your family want to rehome?
Requiem
09:52:35 Dimmed
Oh ew 😂 doodles are the worst. I say rehome based on that alone lmao

Kidding, but whose dog is it? If it's not yours why are you taking responsibility?

Maybe try crate training? Look up some training videos for it? It's a lot of effort but it pays off

WB, TB and Knab, but the newer breeds not as much.

We have also spent over $3000 on training, but it doesn't help with his high energy needs.
