Yes exactly! 😂 Anything you dont want to use as a stud? Geld. They will do better in that case. But I have had a mare place 2 on the Eventing futurity LB. Only one that topped her was an EEW gelding. 😂
Futurities are competitive though- SDs will almost certainly be won by a W gelding and AD winners often have W combos now (again- geldings). I've won AD with EEEs before though
I enter my promising AD matches. If the foal turns out a dud? I at least can show them in D,CC, and J and hope they hit well in futurity. Because even with no training? They will rack points in futurity. There are SD futurities too!
