Also Lilac to answer your question! Depends on the rating. For EE I don’t expect all up week 9, but for EEE and above I do!

Thanks eury! I’m finally figuring genes out and wanting to try all sorts of things with my newfound knowledge lol
*Stable of Jewels*
-HEE Click- So he’s normal chestnut but he has the genes to be a black chestnut . Would that be rerollable then? Or is there genes I’m missing.?
*Stable of Jewels*
-HEE Click- Okay.. so this would give me the best chance I believe for that right? Black chestnut is its own color correct? Not just a reroll?
The Old Gods
you'd just want to make sure the chestnut wasn't homozygous for a bay gene and the black wasn't homozygous E
The Old Gods
Well, chestnuts are all ee and blacks are all aa, so, theoretically, yeah
Ehlers Danlos Zebra
Chestnut and Black is mutually exclusive. You could get a Black Ee that could produce Chestnut, but it wouldn't show in his phenotype. As far as I know
*Stable of Jewels*
Theoretically… could you get a black chestnut from breeding a chestnut ee to a black aa…a chance to get both genes like that?
The Old Gods
If it's washed off, it just means they need to be popped in the fridge. Not a big deal.
Ehlers Danlos Zebra
Don't eggs have like a protective layer around the shell that prevents bacteria from getting in and should therefore not be washed off? Sorry if it's OT, I didn't see the beginning of the convo
Angels angels
I prefer to get my eggs from friends because for one I know they keep laying whether you need them or not so eventually you have way more than you need, they look and taste better, and it makes me happy to open the eggs and see all the colors versus hust white xD
All Breeds
My coworker has 26 chickens so I get my eggs from her xD I wash and store them in the fridge
The Old Gods
There's some local farmers in stores, but they're still going to be under a chain brand. Those are usually labeled organic in some fashion
Vancouver
Yeah, no, sorry. I just wanted to out that those in my supermarket came from local farmers.
