| For reference, I bought him when he was 4, he is 18 now. Leg and I grew up figuring it all out. I very recently stopped using a double jointed bit and put him in a ported mullen. Biggest takeaway that I have learned is listen to your horse. |

| Now I do flatwork, focus on getting him to stretch, hill work, trail rides. He LOVES the trail, we will canter out there and he's a happy little calm. |

| It also got to a point where I was told if I really wanted to show I would have to look for a taller horse because my guy was too short to be noticed in a hunter ring at big shows. I stopped showing. |
