Issue i've got is she's 14 - so chances of a full recovery are very slim. (disregarding the fact she's draft so likely will form some sort of arthtitis). Vet's think she's had it since she was a foal, so the fact she's marched on for as long as she has with 0 signs of pain is insane. Obviously will do what's best for her but very much in two minds if the surgery is worth it for a horse like her. She'd be sound enough to be a trail horse but again she's just so buzzy I can't imagine her enjoying it! It's never ending with these horses >.>

Normally common in higher activity events like jumping, racing, barrels, etc. If it's not operable or affordable, look into best care for the horse

Would be interesting to see how/if other horses have recovered from surgery, but can't find much online!

have spoken to a vet, no option seems like a particularly good one. Supposed to be quite rare, i didn't have a clue what it was either

What will she look like as an adult? Can't use the lens of time because it says it's already been done. Ugg @Star
