The Tree Idea sounds cute - wish there was something more 'holiday middle ground' like maybe a Wreath or something. I know there are holiday cards already.

I think my fear stems from the fact I had nightmares about falling in an elevator EVERY NIGHT as a kid. The kind where you feel like you your falling in your dream and wake up. >.<
My fear of elevators is making things awkward at clinicals because my hospital has 11 floors and when we drive the portable x-ray onto the elevator it totally jumps up and down.
