Blue I was actually recommending that to Blue! I've been riding since I was 4 and my family has always had horses until very recently when our last (29 yo OTTB) passed away. I still ride for my trainer whenever I'm home, doing tune ups and bringing her younger horses into work. I also ride my friends horses because she has two and doesn't always have the time. |

he's doing SO much better, you'd never guess by looking at him that his hooves were ever that bad |
Bug in a Rug |
fern yes! One of my ponies is my little baby boi, follows me around everywhere and is so eager to please<3 |

RFS Thoroughbreds |
flea feel like if you rescue them, give them training, feel like you may as well have a better bond since you basically saved them |
RFS Thoroughbreds |
snitch lmao so true heh sometimes actually gotta be like 'and no I ain't being sarcastic' xD |
Bug in a Rug |

Snitch, go work for a boarding facility! You will most likely start out cleaning stalls, moving horses and feeding. But you can work your way up! I had done that when I was 18 and at 20 I was riding for the facility! I had prior knowledge with horses and was hired two days later after background check. |
Transformers Acres |
Bug That's nice! I've seen rescues before, but the ones I've seen were abused, neglected, starved, overbred, etc. Poor babies. :( |
RFS Thoroughbreds |
flea well isn't that awesome. that's like-the best flex absolutely ever! (and I'm being genuine w/ that) |
Bug in a Rug |
geek that sounds lovely! Almost all my equines are rescues, honestly so rewarding |
Snitches' Stitches |
Geek Maybe start volunteering at a local barn then? A lot of my friends would trade labour (mucking stalls, turning out, washing buckets, etc.) for lessons. |
