I don't think I would ever be willing to NOT take lessons. There is just so much you can learn and you never realize what you are doing until someone watches you and lets you know.
I pay 50$ for a group lesson right now. 75 for a private. I take a group with one instructor and a private with another. I do my groups 4x a month, and my private is as needed but usually about 2x a month. And they are very well priced for a primarily English barn in my area.
Vet comes out- lessons at barn. You are going to spend double hauling a horse 45 minutes to a lesson than you will just driving to that lesson. I drive about an hour to my barn- and when I own again I will be keeping that horse there.
Honestly my first horse, I had the vet come out every time I needed something. The hard part was finding a farrier. I own a small little Hyundai Elantra Limited. No way could that thing haul a horse lol
Well, the place I want to take lessons at is 45 minutes away so if I boarded there that would be a long drive. My goal was to board somewhere closer and drive to a weekly lesson.
Hummer, honestly driving the horse to a different place for lessons sound ultra expensive. Would probably be cheaper to ask the trainer to come to you anyway.
My current barn has the vet and farrier and everything come out. Most vets will do farm visits. Pretty much everyone at my barn who boards does not own any kind of hauling anything.
If you have Dapple Blend Grain, you can feed it to your horse and their coat will dapple.
The effect will wear off after a few days. One pound of grain will be fed at a time.
If you feed Senior Blend to your senior horse they will have a 10% decreased chance in dying
when the weekly script runs on Monday morning. The effect lasts for one weekly cycle.

You can hire a rider. They will be automatically assigned to your horse. Be sure to visit the Rider's Lounge and pay them.
Set Breeding Requirements for your horse. Enter the minimum rating allowable for breeding. When breeding, Any combo of the entered values and higher will be accepted. Leave blank to set to None.
Edit your horse's remarks. Keep all content PG-13.
Choose a Background for your horse.
Withdraw your horse from it's team. You will lose all team points for this horse. Please discuss this action with the team manager first.
Your horse may show 3 times per week. Shows run daily. Your horse and rider will gain valuable experience from showing. Select a discipline to show in, or scratch from tonight's show.
