I wouldn't say I'm loud or strongly opinionated, but I am at least *loyal* to those opinions (which some people interpret as "loud") and I am not one to skirt around to try and make someone else feel better. I lost a good friend over a topic that should never have been an issue. It was too late by the time I realized it had actually bothered her, unfortunately. She asked me to change my worldview, which, well, wasn't happening, as much as it pained me to lose her friendship.
