Especially if you have multiple bikes, you're talking a financial talk between the two of you, since I was just going to recommend to trade in your current one for a pre-owned and then you'll get your bike faster, but this sounds a lot more like a miscommunication or a missed expectation somewhere between you two
No matter how old or new a car is anything can go wrong. I welded chassis for a few car companies and all I'll say is don't trust your car even if it runs perfectly. Always have a back up car in case
