I also love it from a biomechanical aspect because you can really see what your horse is doing. Evie started getting heavy in my hands during transitions so I've been starting our rides with in-hand trot-halt transitions to get her engaging her butt instead of leaning on the bit and it's been so helpful
@Puck, I don't know too much about him, but when I started taking lessons in groundwork the gal said she uses principles based on parelli so I can't complain since for me it worked. XD
I'm really grateful I grew up at a parelli barn. I don't like the guy or a lot of his theories, but it instilled a huge respect for groundwork so early on that even now I'm still surprised by people's lack of it
