ven it was a complete guess, go me? lol |

angel perhaps because their offspring and underdevoloped by the end of gestation? platyous are semi aquatic so cant have underdeveloped young on their body ( like marsupials) as they would drown, and echidnas spend a fair amount of time undergorund so imagine the same reasoning applies. That and it just works so adapting didnt lower or raise mortality in the early stages of life |

Yeah understandable lol I think we found one though. Asking about why platypuses and echidnas retained the ability to lay eggs whereas all other mammals give live birth |

I can help with dogs, cats, pigs, goat, horses and cows but I dont go into exotics. Not my thing lol |

Alyssa Yeah it is confusing lol. I hate when professors given you free reign to pick a research topic. I need some direction! |

Angel Ah. The vertebral part made me think it was only towards that. |

Glacier Yeah I did come up with one question asking why some reptile species (including some snakes) have evolved away from laying eggs and instead give live birth like mammals |
Angels angels |
Alyssa That is a good one but I think it would be too broad and easy to answer. It doesn't have to be vertebral just comparative anatomy in general. I am trying to find some ideas that are more difficult to research but simple if that makes sense |
Legacy Leagues |
If Im thinking right, cattle have 13. Still prey animals, but maybe shorter since theyre bodies aren't as athletic and need to have room for their highly functioning abdomen? |
Legacy Leagues |
Angel A question could be how vertebral columns can be related to the needs of the animal. Like how horses are flight/flight. So they have 18 thoracic vertebrae/ribs to comprise their large lungs. But you can go on and on by each species. |

Dash good, making some forum roleplays on here besides the horse one, a cat one and maybe a wolf one |
