malware scan was all good, so I'm 95% sure it's the battery. I've also noticed that there's a small crack right about the charging port, and it's afeecting how it charges😞
welp, updating didn't seem to do diddlysquat, it just shut down again.
Considering taking my laptop in to replace the battery. I've had it for 2 years and used it for several hours a day in that span, so I'm hoping it's just the battery.
