I usually just choose a corner. It's embarrassing, but people are usually happy to order for me. I can just quietly sit and chat when I want to. Usually they're pretty accepting that I've got a phobia.
Revel, I definitely struggle with the drowsiness. My sleep schedule is all sorts of messed up. Thankfully, no weight gain. I'm still my usual small self.
@Versa, what I hate are the side effects like weight gain and drowsiness. I have a really hard time waking up in the morning and staying awake because the meds are still in my system.
Myth, I avoid stores at all costs. My pets need me, though, so it's the only one I won't procrastinate. I think it has been helpful to me as a whole. But I barely look at whoever is behind that register lol
Revel, Mine's enough to get the edge off so I don't entirely freak out, but mild enough to leave me alone overall. I still seem like myself, but capable at least of ordering food from an app and working.
@Versa, that is the way to be! I unfortunately take a lot of meds to manage my anxiety. I wish I could get off them, but I feel downright terrible when I forget to take it for one day. I wish I could get therapy for my autism as I think that is the source of a lot of my anxiety, but most therapists arent helpful and since I am over 18 I dont qualify for autism specified therapy.
Myth, They seemed pretty open to the idea of me being female and an adult, so I suppose we'll possibly see.
Revel, I do know it is a bit different, for sure. Strange that they blame it on bipolar, though. I have downright rejected most medications except a mild one to get my anxiety under control, under the promise it would not affect my personality. I will not be accepting bipolar as an answer, much less accepting a medication for it.
@Versa, I have no doubt you are right, but for some reason providers prefer diagnosing women with that rather than autism. The tests used to diagnosis autism are based on boys and and females manifest autism very differently than men.
If you have Dapple Blend Grain, you can feed it to your horse and their coat will dapple.
