It's a pretty common thought in the US that animals should be altered as young as possible to prevent health/behavior problems. I think a lot of it is pushed by various rescues/shelters who engage in that practice
I mean, the question how and where you live and how the dog is kept is a big factor.. but over here, nearly all dogs are inhouse dogs, so no wild breeding.
Over here, any vet who's worth their degree will ask you not to neuter before at least second heat / 18 months of age, and thanks to a very good vet who just wrote a book on this, things are going to "don't neuter before fully adult" or even "don't neuter at all, if there are no medical reasons".

Your horse may show 3 times per week. Shows run daily. Your horse and rider will gain valuable experience from showing. Select a discipline to show in, or scratch from tonight's show.
