!The saddest horse story that I know of, in my opinion, is Ruffian. I shed tears of gold for her. She was only 3 with no foals to carry her bloodline. Such a poor soul.
I devoured the Marguerite Henry books as a kid. We went out to Chincoteague/Assateague one year when they swam the ponies across for the roundup. And we saw taxidermy Misty in the museum
Midnight.. yes.. about 5 years ago they imported some of her decendents back onto the island to keep her bloodline going. They found her down and they went through heroic measures to try to save her but there was something wrong with her back end and they decided it was best to euthanize her.
Just learned of two sad losses today.. Chincoteague Island lost one of their top mares (a Misty decentant) they had to euthanize her and luckily they were able to find a mare who accepted the foal to nurse. I was also shocked to hear about the euthanization of Queen Uniek (Friesan Mare) followed some on YouTube. Two beauties running free with the Sky Herds now...

Withdraw your horse from it's team. You will lose all team points for this horse. Please discuss this action with the team manager first.
Your horse may show 3 times per week. Shows run daily. Your horse and rider will gain valuable experience from showing. Select a discipline to show in, or scratch from tonight's show.
