You can definitely say that. That sounds professional- and at least you did say something, Do you have cameras with audio recording? We have cameras on our transportation vans and throughout the building. The ones on the vans have audio. The ones in the building are just visual. But they have saved my ass multiple times.
I would message your supervisor- telling a coworker to shut up can cause workplace drama. I know at my workplace if something like that was happening and I did not say anything I would also be hold as much responsible as the person doing it.
