her and i had a come to jesus day before yesterday because i wasnt putting her grain down fast enough for her and she was going to headbutt/kick me and i got after her and she was straight lame for 2 days after and i didnt even do anything past making her back up out of my space
we honestly have no idea, shes stuck on 6 months of stall rest and then we reevaluate but shes just randomly lame on her back left off and on and generally after any kind of work or over exertion, but her xrays were totally clear minus one little possible spot on her fetlock that they *say* shouldnt be effecting her at all but something certainly is

Jester, thank you! That makes sense honestly! We work cattle at the sale barn, and ive never personally had problems in the winter honestly! Summer is where were concerned and ask people to bring 3 or more horses to swap out every hour or so, just to be cautious.
I don't body clip in the summer to often, we do the old girl now because she has cushings and doesn't shed out very good any more, but normally most clip in the winter to cut down on long winter coats so they don't overheat when they're being worked and they dry faster and don't stay soaked in sweat
If you have Dapple Blend Grain, you can feed it to your horse and their coat will dapple.
The effect will wear off after a few days. One pound of grain will be fed at a time.
