Sure, most people know that, but the "not major brand" is also cheaper. Plus many of these local stores are sourcing more local products from smaller producers too.
It can be done without Nestle, or the other bigger brands. But why would they change their ways when people keep pouring their money out for their products?
Shop things on the bottom shelves - many are from small manufacturers. But people refuse to do that.
Kinda like how brand name Eggos and generic Eggos are produced in the same factory? Using Eggos as an example but it could be swapped with anything lol
It's a win win for the community. Slightly cheaper groceries because small company, major brands taboo, and local residents have jobs, instead of machines and self checkout.
Our little local grocery store doesn't even offer major brands, except a veery very few items. Still plenty of food to purchase there, and way less cost. They even have real live employed cashiers at every checkout! Imagine that!
Corporations are not there to lose money, and they have way too much, are wasteful, and yes, the executives are disproportionately paid. Hence why I shop elsewhere
Major companies aren't your friends. When the *only* thing you care about is making money, that's detrimental to your business. Good example right now that I've been involved with is Apex Legends, a very large first person shooter game. They started making stupid decisions with their monetization thinking they'd make tons of money and they got review bombed so badly that they reversed the changes before they even had a chance to implement them
Plenty of companies here are not showing record profits, simply because they do have to pay workers more to get good ones, plus their own costs for other things are skyrocketing. They are actually posting smaller gains just to stay in business. This is why I support smaller companies and not huge ones.
Amazon? Not thanks. Walmart? No thanks. Kroger? Forget it.

Your horse may show 3 times per week. Shows run daily. Your horse and rider will gain valuable experience from showing. Select a discipline to show in, or scratch from tonight's show.
Showing in the special weekly shows doesn't count against your horse's weekly regular show count.
