I've never had an issue with students or residents, actually I had the sweetest student come and ask to watch my labor and she checked up on me throughout labor and during my stay at the hospital but it's definitely hit or miss, I don't know if id trust them to treat something serious

yes I understand not wanting to be seen by a resident and I believe it is your right to decide who does and doesn't get to treat you. Definitely challenge them on that if you can because that doesn't seem right
Damn. I'd definitely find another hospital or area to go to. It sounds like since it's early you have some time to find an alternative doctor. I don't blame you about residents

Storm I did. I talked with over with my OB. There was no indication of the current prenatal care office I go to closing. It's never been an issue to me refusing to been treated by an resident until now.
