lol Yes! Unless there good reason to be on the move it will always be a stuggle. And Injuries do really limit you. I pull my knee like 6 weeks ago (not bad enough to get medical help) and its finally getting back to normal. Walking was find but steps, heavy lifting and sitting down was so iffy.
Taking care of a farm with 16 horses, 17 border co,lies, some sheep and their guardian dog will keep a body busy and offer lots of exercise for sure. But man, getting old makes it tough getting thise extra pounds back off. Having to be extra careful about what I eat/drink makes all the difference. Supplements for the aging and not as efficient hormones helps too. The entire hormonal system is *absolutely wrecked* by bad ingredients, chemicals, and such. Even a little can throw off the endocrine system in a big way. Gotta be so careful !
I drink water more than sodas. I do a diet Dr Pepper in the morning for caffeine and that is it. I have to do diet because I am a diabetic I am chunky, but that is due to a hormonal issue, not due to no exercise. I muck stalls, lift heavy hay bales, feed horses, walk all over the farm, all comfortably. But this would not have happened had I not taken initiative for my own health. Now, the days I do not ride, I workout or do yoga.
It is an ongoing battle, Gem, at best! Only gets harder as you get older. I am not happy with my BMI currently. A knee and foot injury ladt year left me with some weight gsin and taking it off at my age is tough! Especially with old, stiff, and sore joints!
Lack of exercise is a terrible problem for sure Gem. It breaks my heart to see kids that obviously donÂ’t get enough exercise. One look at their parents and it is obvious why. Exercise and outdoor play is so important!
