we used to hand walk several miles every day it was so funny i think everyone thought i was insane but honestly i would do it again it was a vibe (im so glad i dont have to do this anymore though ill be honest)
he was abused before i got him really bad and also neglected so he was several hundred pounds underweight and he did not trust people at all it wouldnt have been safe or fair to him to try and break him in i rode him like twice i think? and he held himself together but it was too much on him and then we also had a really hard winter and he got hurt but he recovered thankfully and i started him like almost a year after i got him!
I think it's a little human nature to be judgemental from the jump. We have to overcome that a little bit. I would've felt the same way as you a few years ago, but now it's easier to see the gray in between the black and white :)
