I used to live with a guy who would throw me down the stairs and lock me in the spare bedroom for a week after he gave me a black eye so nobody would see the bruises. I know it is hard to leave, but please do it for your sake. Even if you have to wait until he is at work and do a rush job. That is how I escaped, and I only found the courage to do so because my neighbor heard what happened and helped me make a plan.
Eagle, speaking from personal experience, the first and biggest step is making a commitment to yourself that you will leave. Once you accept that decision and start thinking in that mindset, the next steps will become more apparent <3 <3 best of luck, it's of course easier said then done, but you can do it!
Eagle I'm so, so sorry. Yeah, I'd say visit that Hotline link that Pixie put in and get better tips on how to leave/what to do. Be sure to tell them that you fear even your family would side with him.
Eagle It's not that you can't do it it's that you won't do it. And you might not even know why. It's completely up to you to make the decision to leave. And your family believes him than that might just tell you alot about them too. I've been in a similiar situation twice

Your family might love him but I bet they love you more. It isnt about bringing them into the drama, it is about getting you out of a bad situation. Full stop. This guy sounds like he is very insecure, which is why he needs to bring you down. Because he knows that you can do better than him, but he cant do better than you.
I have family but they love him and they have never been brought into our crap and I feel like he could manipulate them to believing what ever he says. I don't have close friends because he made.me feel like they weren't food for me I've rthe years. If you have Dapple Blend Grain, you can feed it to your horse and their coat will dapple.
The effect will wear off after a few days. One pound of grain will be fed at a time.
