I have scratchers all over the place here. I put catnip spray on them and I switch them out each week so they are always new haha. I do not have an issue with cats scratching furniture or anything really.
It would be like us walking around and bearing all our weight on our knuckles our whole lives. As someone whose worked in rescue for felines for years, I have seen what it does to a majority of cats.
I trim cats nails. Declawing is extremely painful for the cat, even after surgery. Can cause early arthritis as well. I will not do it, and when I used to adopt cats out I made them sign a no declaw agreement.
Horse lease paperwork is arriving by email today. I pay tomorrow, and then sign Sunday when I go to my next lesson. (Me and instructor are ill so had to cancel tomorrows) So excited! I finally do not have to share at official pointed shows.
...I mean, I'll have days where I'm so overstimmed that the slightest thing is horrible, but I still wouldn't do it. I'm not going to put them through a needless surgery for my comfort
I feel like trimming is fine, but declawing sounds painful >.> I mean I've had my nail removed and that was painful, but it grew back, I can't image how it must feel for the kitty though
Mo got his trimmed a few weeks ago and he was a very good boy about it. I suppose I'll have to learn how to do it myself, but I wouldn't ever declaw. Too many risks

Your horse may show 3 times per week. Shows run daily. Your horse and rider will gain valuable experience from showing. Select a discipline to show in, or scratch from tonight's show.
Showing in the special weekly shows doesn't count against your horse's weekly regular show count.
