inbreeding/line breeding can be done without problems if the animals are health tested, but the big pet stores are definitely not health testing their huge enclosures of guinea pigs they let freely breed lol.
my very first guinea pig did in fact make it to 8 years old, though. she was a spunky pig lol. i adopted her from the animal shelter i was volunteering at. tried to get her a sister but she wanted nothing to do with other guinea pigs so the 2 had to live in separate enclosures next to each other.
i've had guinea pigs for almost 10 years now, a lot of them have congenital health issues from inbreeding. it's unfortunate but not all of them make it to 8+ years old, and it's better to put them down than let them suffer.
I have strong feelings against begging when it goes towards a poor cause. So many times IÂ’ve been asked to donate to GoFundMe when the person doesnÂ’t really need the money and just doesnÂ’t want to face facts.
Well, I am ticked. My family created a go fund me to help my cousin afford the eye removal surgery for her guinea pig. Evidently it is paralyzed too. Better to put it out of its misery than beg for money.
KC i'm also new, so don't take my word as law, but it seems like most people don't specialize in a particular discipline. the fastest way to make money is to get a bunch of geldings who have an E or P rating in at least one discipline, then follow the showing guides in the forums and show your geldings as a "show string." rake in money, then buy horses you want to breed.
Hi!! I am coming back to HEE after a long break and am having a hard time deciding what to DO... I want to make a successful show (and breeding) barn but can't decide what discipline or breed haha. Thrilled to be back though! Just struggling with my indecisiveness xD

If you have Dapple Blend Grain, you can feed it to your horse and their coat will dapple.
The effect will wear off after a few days. One pound of grain will be fed at a time.
If you feed Senior Blend to your senior horse they will have a 10% decreased chance in dying
when the weekly script runs on Monday morning. The effect lasts for one weekly cycle.

Edit your horse's remarks. Keep all content PG-13.
Choose a Background for your horse.
Withdraw your horse from it's team. You will lose all team points for this horse. Please discuss this action with the team manager first.
Your horse may show 3 times per week. Shows run daily. Your horse and rider will gain valuable experience from showing. Select a discipline to show in, or scratch from tonight's show.
Showing in the special weekly shows doesn't count against your horse's weekly regular show count.
