And I get it - with AD breeding being adjusted, SD would of course slide up too. But I lowkey would like SD in a bubble thats harder now LOL but I know it doesnt happen in a vaccum

Thats what I use. If I have boys with 2+ up and no week 6 level, I no longer waste my time testing
The Old Gods
I tried tracking leveling a few years ago, but didn't see much of a correlation.

I'd say my SD W production - freshie or not - has gone from say maybe 45-55% W to now 90% so thats not really the best indicator anymore either LOL
Cappuccino
What was his leveling like? That tends to be a better indicator to me.
The Old Gods
Like, this guy: -HEE Click- two up weeks 3/6/9. 9 out of 10 foals were W. Landed #54
Kingsman
Yeah I’m always wary of good training >_> I’ve had so many solid training horses flop
deadwood dressage
If I had remained consistent throughout my years, perhaps I'd be doing better than I am
Cappuccino
And there are *so* many more SD breeders now that it has to play a role as well
The Old Gods
Kinda why I'm scratching my head on culling. I don't want to test everyone lol. Don't have the time for it...Or the sanity, but the current method ain't working
Cappuccino
Same with AD horses. My current freshie is up all week 11 and sitting mid-ish LB but AD has been "off" for a long time. So I think the SDs are catching up to the whole "training literally isnt everything"
Bioshock Manor
They do need to be tweaked. Now it's 'waste money until 3 foals to find it's shit'
Cappuccino
I do think the "ease" for SD W production has made things a bit haywire but I have WAY to many SDs to care about testing them all.
The Old Gods
'cause at this point, I'm scratching my head on how I should cull my horses lol
