@froggie Yes! That's totally it. lol But I'd have my phone turned off while I sleep unless I was really waiting for a random call from someone.

@AL Ah, I see. There' no public transport here. So I get driven to work and back. :)

im my country there are still official phone books including online versions, where you can find most phone numbers and adresses

I don't think a thing about giving out my number to people I know from work, etc, but a lot of younger folks feel like it's weird. I guess because your phone number used to be just the house you were in and whoever was closer answered it instead of being in your pocket to bother you at 3am if they're a weirdo.

@froggie lol I remember the 90s and early 2000s phonebooks. And yeah I guess so. (I'm 30 now. ;P)

I am somewhat non-typical in my neighbourhood since I dont have a car. But its so expensive having one so I can take bus/cab a lot instead

I know this is a foreign concept to younger people, but us oldies used to have our family's phone number in the phone book. Anyone who wanted could look up your number by your name and it gave the address, too. You had to pay extra to not be in the book, but hardly anyone did.

@AL Yup, always can block and ask for it later. Its a tad awkward, I don't have a phone. 'cause I don't have a car yet... lol I'm a non-typical American. ;P

@kuewi OK. :D I work at a grocery store. Honestly wouldn't want more then a certain few folks to have my number. lol @lillie She's lovely! And I'd assume she would never be weird about it.
