The first and only time I've ever fallen off a horse was when he randomly spooked whilst cantering and galloped around the arena. I held on the until we hit a sharp turn.

on super cold days I would set up poles and hand walk him over poles for 30 mins as a way to strech his back when we would not ride. I noticed a huge difference undersaddle.
Legacy Elm
I always put my horse first, he is older now, 18 years. I have found that there is benefits to hand walking in the arena for 5 mins before getting on to warm up their back muscles a bit, especially in the winter. in the summer I will walking him a lap each way.
