| Different breeds do different kinds of work. Just because Goldens aren't trained to bite into a sleeve doesn't mean they cannot be working dogs in the discipline they were actually bred to work at. In my sighthound breed there's also a 'working class' in which they are allowed to enter when they have absolved several successful races and courses. |

| I know several working goldens that are actively doing hunting trials, dock diving, and agility. I know Soaring Goldens in Utah have some dogs titled in those areas |

| I remember a show I went to the best Golden I saw was a working dog. Since they are a hunting breed (well, retrieving that is), he had an actual working license for hunting work. |
