It's always sad when you let them go into their new homes, but when the new owners send you photos and tell you how well they bond with their new family member it's so rewarding. We now have a WhatsApp group where we can all stay in touch and share pictures
I've heard Bengals described as "border collies on crack" when it comes to cat breeds haha. They're a lot of work and have more energy/need for enrichment than many people can keep up with.
Glacier, most of my cats are ooint as well. Another breed I might add are Ragdolls. I used to have one who lived with me over 15 years and she was the gentlest soul one could imagine. Bengals are pretty but too high strung for me. They are like the Border Collie of the cat world.
I think what is funny is that dog people seem to have superiority complex whereas cat people are wills say, I just prefer cats and are so aloof about it.
My cat is much more cuddly than my dog. Sure he runs away when a stranger comes into the house, but once he gets used to you he is more than happy to come out.
Revel - I do have 3 dogs as well. 2 of them are sighthounds which are said to be more like cats in temperament. So I guess I like the contrast of having aloof dog breeds and affectionate cats 😉
That's really weird, Piper, I have not seen that either. I thought even embryo foals are treated as straws in that they do not mess with the counter for tge 20 LCs
@San, I can agree with your last sentence! Cats can be super affectionate. They just aren't as open about it with strangers as dogs. That is why it drives me nuts when dog lovers say they hate cats because they are mean and don't love you.
