Do you remember when you finally have a breeding season where you feel like you may finally be making some progress? This season I was actually having to free range PPP+ foals in my AA herd to make room to finish my breeding! Out of 50 mares, I had 3 EEP combos (I've only bred 5 total before this year) and a slew of PEPs. I know some seasons are good and some bad, but lately it feels like I'm finally making some headway. With my game, rather than go straight out and buy expensive proven horses, I decided I wanted to try to build up a herd using mostly homebred mares. Now, all but a few of my mares are homebred, and over half of those are re-bred inhouse (20 get matched with LB studs I can afford to keep new blood circulating ;)). My boy CW Always Windy is consistently throwing PPP and up . It was a good breeding year. Now to get my PONs going...
