| Before I left Colorado, our amur leopard, Anya, received two cubs. Their prior mother wasn't caring for them and in an effort not to imprint them, they were transferred to a new mother |

| Revel, It's possible they aren't making enough money to keep them. They transfer them before issues arise, so they may look 100% fine one day and then vanish the next |

| Kind of odd to go to a zoo and see all these empty enclosures. Maybe that's why they have resorted to hosting other events because they need a different way to earn money. I just find it odd why they wouldn't try to replace or get new animals instead. |

| @Versa, that's true. I know they gave the elephants to another zoo because it was only a mother-daughter pair and they needed to be part of a bigger herd. It just seems like they have lost a lot of animals and not replaced them so there is all this empty space. |

| It's important to note that zoos don't just "buy" each other's animals lol. They're working together for a mission. If they can't take care of the animals anymore, they'll simply transfer them to another zoo. |

| Revel Who knows.... My zoo just got a clouded leopard and two Jaguar cubs, we also just had some elephants calves and Gorila babies. |

| I guess I just feel sad because it was such a wonderful zoo as a child and it breaks my heart to see it change and go downhill so much. Instead of being a zoo it feels like they are more interested in hosting animal themed parties. |

| Sometimes animals end up between zoos for varying purposes, such as breeding. Even the common animals might be tossed back and forth if the genes are correct |

| What is odd is they keep hosting these events like a lantern festival. They were setting up all these great big animal figures that would light up at night. Seems like their money would be better spent on the animals. |
