Ven That's definitely understandable. Since I'm a believer in both nature and nurture when it comes to dogs (or any animal, really), I probably wouldn't either. Unless that dog has extensiveeee training. Natural prey drive is a thing, I will never, ever deny that. |

We have a lovely pit mix at home, but we think he had been with a homeless individual prior. So easy to train, so lovable, even good with the chickens. Fortunate he is so wonderful. |

@ven Yup. You have to get a puppy for it to be fine with a young child. English Staffordshires were nanny dogs back in the day, different but similar breed. |

Void That's a shame :( I know a friendly pit isn't something everyone comes across, I've just known many pittie lovers, as well as been around tons of lovable pitties, so it's heartbreaking to hear you haven't experienced that. I hope you can, someday. |

@eury And here in central PA, 95% I've meet and the kind that want you cover EVERYONE in hugs and kisses or are scaredy cats in public that want to go back to their car. :) |

My heart breaks for all the overbred, genetic nightmare, homeless pitty mixes. I love all dogs and wish I could help them all. But will a bully mix ever be part of my home when I have a young child? No |
