I am still upset about that one time I went horse shopping and found the perfect OTTB. His rider had anxiety, but it didnÂ’t bother him. When I rode him I was terrified because he was over 17 h so he was the largest horse I had ever ridden. He was a perfect angel. The owner sold him to someone else who was waiting to decide Whether or not she want to buy him, even though I offered to buy him on the spot
hummer once Big Tractor is thoroughly warmed up and put through his paces, that's him exactly. He was trained in (If I remember correctly) reining and maybe roping, then was a lesson horse for 2 years. Now he's my big boy, and is mainly a trail horse/babysitter for my sister's friend lol
My boy came off the track 9 months ago now. Once we got over the whole bolting into walls thing he turned into quite a lovely horse. However, he managed to rip his face open (needed five stitches) and we had a fall out xc a month later and he needed stitches in his knees. He really doesn't care where when or how he injures himself. Glad he was free because with the amount of money we've spend on vet bills recently we could have bought two of him 😂
My boy is ace 🤞🏻 aside from the injury's he's gone from racing to jumping 1m in 9mos. He did his first long arena novice test recently and came away with 68%. He's the first ottb I've retrained myself and he's such a trooper 😂 -Click-
Wanna trade? xD Mine has to be lunged before you ride to let her get her happy bucks out, otherwise she gets SUPER excited if you ask for a canter, and assumes that means it's time to be a racehorse.
For the most part, you spend maybe 10-15 telling her no then she goes “Aight, fine I listen” and it is smooth. But other times we fight the entire time on it. Just depends on her mood
trigger oh yes, that's the one time I appreciate a lazy boy xD One of my little mares is a total speed demon, only knows how to go fast, jump high, and stop even faster, but only when you don't want her to o.o
Lexi is the opposite though lol. She is made for speed she says. Sometimes I spend a good amount of the lesson forcing her to walk. Slowly. Slow walk. I have a feeling that is what I will be doing during my ride with her tomorrow haha

Belle There isn't! When I got him last year as a five year old with less ten rides on him the breaks were when we hit a fence. Come a long way in a year
trigger can confirm, my big ol' QH hasn't really been worked with properly in almost 3 years and is now SO lazy -_- Sometimes, he just straight up refuses to move. I say he got stuck in Park or his brakes locked up, since his name is Big Tractor xD
