I wouldn't think the BM has that much of a choice. I tell her what to show and when, and she follows orders. lol Musta been in the military at some point.
I have her set to those days and then I go through thursday/friday and enter the green horses to make up the difference. (when I do remember to show, which is... not often)
Is it mostly because the BM can only show one discipline a day? So if you have an eventing horse set to d/xc/sj on monday/tuesday/wednesday for example, then if the horse is green in dressage it only gets to show dressage one day that week?
As Foggie said, the BM does seem to do better with SD horses. At least it seems that way, as the majority of my show horses are SD geldings. I'll have to pay more attention when stallions get entered.
As far as the BM goes, she does have a tendency to enter horses who aren't ready. Seen plenty of horses she's entered that came dead last. It's less of an issue now since the showing payouts have been increased.
If you have Dapple Blend Grain, you can feed it to your horse and their coat will dapple.
The effect will wear off after a few days. One pound of grain will be fed at a time.
If you feed Senior Blend to your senior horse they will have a 10% decreased chance in dying
when the weekly script runs on Monday morning. The effect lasts for one weekly cycle.

You can hire a rider. They will be automatically assigned to your horse. Be sure to visit the Rider's Lounge and pay them.
Set Breeding Requirements for your horse. Enter the minimum rating allowable for breeding. When breeding, Any combo of the entered values and higher will be accepted. Leave blank to set to None.
Edit your horse's remarks. Keep all content PG-13.
Choose a Background for your horse.
Withdraw your horse from it's team. You will lose all team points for this horse. Please discuss this action with the team manager first.
Your horse may show 3 times per week. Shows run daily. Your horse and rider will gain valuable experience from showing. Select a discipline to show in, or scratch from tonight's show.
Showing in the special weekly shows doesn't count against your horse's weekly regular show count.
